AFFILIATIONS

ULTKD is a member of the UKGT, one of the leading ITF Taekwon-Do organisations based in the UK, which was founded in 1993 and prides itself in maintaining a high standard for the art of Taekwon-Do.

UKGT is a member of the UITF, an international body headed by Grand Master Hwang Kwang Sung IX, set up with the specific purpose of carrying out General Choi’s Legacy by unifying all ITF organizations under the guidance of his World-Renowned Grandmasters.

We are also affiliated with the British TaekwonDo Council, which is recognised by Sport England as the governing body for Taekwon-Do in the UK. The BTC was established to unify and oversee the development of Taekwon-Do in the UK

All students are licenced through, and our instructors are certified with, and insured by, the BTC.

Team Leicester is an exciting new identity for the varied sports clubs on campus. The new sporting brand brings all the clubs under one banner and will help to increase the sporting profile throughout the University and within Leicester and surrounding areas, and provides the University and the Student's Union with a feeling of togetherness and professionalism.
